This map includes 5 main features.

Green markers are used to identify the top 10 coffee producing countries. Each of these markers have a description of the coffee production in that country.

Red markers are use to identify countries with notable cases of farmer exploitation. This takes the form of child labor, forced labor, low standard of living, unsafe work environment, and little access to safe drinking water.

Yellow markers identify and describe the top 4 distributors of coffee in the United States. This includes Kraft, Sara Lee, Proctor & Gamble, and Nestle.

Blue line identify popular trade routes to the United States.

The shaded region identifies the “Bean Belt” which lies between the Tropics and provides the best climate for coffee bean growth.
