book
I completely forgot to post my pictures from last week. This is my planning process for my book project. It took longer than expected to brainstorm and gather all my materials. I had to go through old bins, drawers, books, and spaces to find materials to glue inside. Each page has taken about 2 hours adding the details, planning, and waiting for things to dry.

TBD Exhibition: Individual Reflection
- I think my primary contributions to the collaboration were the theme discussion and installation. My group brainstormed through Discord ideas of how all our works connected with colors and the idea of memory. We also had the idea of a collaged space and rabdomancy. When it came to the installation, Caeley decided it would be best to put her reflection in the center, so I suggested balancing the four square paintings of mine, Maddy, and Alex’s on either side, one being lower than the other.
- This was my first time having a collaborative project. I enjoyed how it let me get to know my classmates a little better by collaborating and discussing; we got to know each other through our work and how we can all relate to each other through one common theme. Seeing my own work next to everyone else’s made me more confident about my piece. It really connected with my group’s work in a way I did not think it would. The distorted reflection of a human in mine connected the group because almost everyone has had a figure. It was fulfilling to me how it all came together because having six people in a group, and you never know how it is going to turn out.
- I think I will take away to trust the process and have fun with what I make. I had an idea of what I wanted to create for my project but kept adding layers as I went, which is what I think made it so intriguing. In the second half of the semester, I want to try and connect my exhibition piece and my dog portrait by coming up with a common theme.
