Activity 1: Attend class meetings and lectures
- This will be the only method of delivery of course materials
- Attendance will be required will ensure that students are able to meet all other course objectives
Activity 2: Engage in class discussion
- This will be completed during class sessions; either in person or via virtual platform.
- Students will be graded based on their participation and engagement in discussion
- This will satisfy the course objective of self-reflection and collaborative communication with peers.
Activity 3: Complete quizzes
- Quizzes will contain both multiple choice and short answer questions to assess the learner’s ability to recognize scope of practice as presented in class meetings and lectures
- This will fulfill the course objective of effective recognition of scopes of practice and areas of collaboration.
- This will help the instructor gauge student understanding of learned material
Activity 4: Attend simulated patient care experiences and debriefing session
- This simulated experience will allow students to navigate inter-professional relationships and collaborative opportunities while walking through presented patient case studies. Each student will be assigned a role, and be expected to participate. Each student will be graded on their participation in both the case study, and the debriefing session afterwards.
- If students do not meet satisfactory participation in this exercise, they can repeat the scenario after debriefing.
- This will meet the course goal of having learners demonstrate effective identification of and utilization of collaborative opportunities with inter-professional colleagues
