This presentation covers the production of hydrogen and its plausibility and application. We choose this topic because using hydrogen as a form of renewable energy is not as widely talked about as other sources such as solar or wind power. The variety of ways in which hydrogen can be produced also impacted our choice. It was a topic we did not know much about, but wanted to learn more. The presentation included the history of hydrogen production, why it is a viable power resource, how wind power, solar power, and biofuels are used to create hydrogen, and where the production of hydrogen is headed in the future. What I found most interesting was that there is a city, Lolland, Denmark, which is run solely by use of hydrogen. The production of hydrogen is increasing, and the future will most likely include more renewable resources of all types as well.
