Final Strategic Life Plan

Through research of my intended major (nursing) and various other majors, I do believe that I have a better understanding of both. If I do not get into nursing, I think I will pursue a degree in Health Sciences. The OSU majors website has information about every major that Ohio State offers, and I have utilized this several times. For staying healthy and balancing my time, I think it is important to remember that you aren’t going to be successful unless you save time for doing the things you enjoy. It is okay to take breaks sometimes. With that being said, you still have to get all of your assignments done on time and study. Working out and eating healthy will give you more energy for the day than doing the opposite. My plan is to get the difficult things out of the way first so that I can do the things that I like to do and not have to worry about anything else. I tend to be a procrastinator, so this is not completely working out how I would like it to, but I am happy with how I’ve done this semester. A lot of faculty members, upperclassmen, and staff members say that one of the best things is to go to office hours and not be afraid to ask questions, which I think I could do more. They also say to manage your time well, which I could also do better. I hope that in my next semester and future years at Ohio State, I can develop better study habits, take better notes, and work harder. I also hope to meet more people and develop more friendships along the way.

About Me

IMG_5303My name is Morgan Rowe and I’m planning on majoring in nursing at OSU. I’m very excited to be apart of Health Science Scholars and to be starting my journey at Ohio State. I’ve always loved the health field in general and I feel like it provides so many amazing opportunities. I’m 18 years old and I was born in Springfield, OH, but I eventually moved to Dayton. I attended St. Albert the Great for kindergarten through 8th grade and played a variety of sports including basketball, volleyball, soccer, and track. Volleyball was the only sport I ended up sticking with though. I then went to Archbishop Alter for high school. My family consists of my brother Logan, and my mom and stepdad. I also have two cats. I hope to get involved in a variety of clubs at OSU, and do a lot of service work along the way. Service is one of the things I really liked about high school. I think it’s great to be able to feel like you’re making someone’s day a little bit better. When I’m not doing school-related things, I like spending time with friends and family, relaxing, and working out. I’m looking forward to my next four years at Ohio State, and I hope I’ll be able to work very hard to accomplish all that I’m striving for.
