Covid-19 changed the 20-21 school year. School nurses played a pivotal role in the re-opening of schools. The school nurses created a power point that was presented to staff before the start of the school year. We created a letter sent home to families highlighting the new guidelines and a letter to give to parents when a student was sent home from school. We also worked with the Health Department for contact tracing and quarantines. More recently, we collaborated with the Health Department to help vaccinate our staff.
