During my time in optometry school, I hope to be involved with programs such as Student Volunteer Optometric Services to Humanity, or SVOSH. This program allows optometry students to travel to low income and underprivileged areas to provide free eye exams in an attempt to reduce refractive error across the planet. This program will allow me to travel to various regions of the world and help with vision care. Not only will I be able to practice optometry in various parts of the world, but I will be able to learn about different cultures and become involved in different communities around the world.
