More research! Yay!!!
I decided to look a bit more into the history of mini golf and see how it has changed over the years. It went from an option for female golfers to a cheaper option during the Great Depression to now. They discuss the difference between putt-putt golf and mini golf. Putt putt golf being more simplified obstacles lacking a coherent theme. Mini golf has complex themes and more obstacles tied to said theme.
I also went ahead and looked into different types of golf terrains. The first two terrains, Links and Parks, are very similar in that they use the natural topography to create the obstacles consisting mainly of open grassy areas. Very typical with what is thought of with “golf course”. The Desert course is still extremely similar to that of the Links and Parks but the natural terrain of the desert is greatly altered to match expectations. Personally I find this to be rather disappointing. Interestingly enough there are golf courses with Sand terrain mixing oil and sand together. This type of terrain seems rather interesting to me and uncommon. While it leads to a slower game, I think it’s unique attributes and appearance makes up for it.
Finally, I looked into how to make papier mache. I remember it from middle school being a fun way to create 3D objects, but I could not remember how to make it. So I decided to look into it quickly learning that there are actually multiple ways to create the goo needed.
