At the end of my senior year of high school in 2020, I won the Good Citizen Award from Daughters of the American Revolution. This was a complete surprise to me since I had no idea that one of my teachers had nominated me. I was very happy to receive this award since it shows how hard I work towards being good to those around me and being a responsible person. I do not currently have a photo of the small medal they gave me for receiving this award, but I have included some photos from the award video my school created to congratulate students who won awards that year.

Marching in the Canal Winchester High School Marching Band 2016-2019
I spent four years playing the clarinet in my high school’s marching band. In 2018 and 2019, I was the section leader, which taught me how to better be a leader and gave me a lot more responsibility with teaching other students how to march and memorize their music. I even had a short solo in the 2018 competition show. It was a wonderful experience that made me learn how to better manage my time since I had to do schoolwork on top of the hours worth of band practices. Marching band really helped me grow as a person and figure out who I wanted to be. (In the video, I am the clarinet on the 40 yard line in the front of the field and at the end of the row at the 3:54 time mark!)
