The Mary Ann Swetland Center for Environmental Health at Case Western Reserve University, on the Nourishing Neighborhoods, Empowering Communities Study, is on a mission to test ways to transform food systems by bridging community power with organizational power to spark & expand food justice initiatives led by the community. The Nourishing Power Fellowship might be a good fit to help move your vision into a plan of action for community change. Applications for the Fellowship are currently being accepted with the goal of selecting 5 teams (2 people per team) of community leaders (18 years or older) from Cleveland and East Cleveland to join the 2023-2024 fellowship program. Some of the benefits of being a Fellow include:
- Increase your team’s ability to work together to ignite your vision for food justice
- $1,500 stipend per person paid in five monthly payments ($300 each)
- Affiliation with Case Western Reserve University, including a CWRU Community Card
- Coaching & feedback to move your team’s vision into community action
- Networking with potential partners, including other Fellows
- Skill building to turn ideas into actions for food justice
- Graduation ceremony & certificate of participation
