The goal I’m pursuing with the most vigor in my undergraduate years is the achievement of getting into law school. In order to do that I need to focus on maintaining a high GPA as well as scoring well on the LSAT. As far as global awareness goes, I plan to study abroad for a “maymester” which will help expose me to more of the world. Additionally, I had an original inquiry last summer when I interned with a local attorney in which I gained insight into what the law field looks like outside of learning about it in the classroom . This experience only reaffirmed my passion for law and I plan to have another internship Summer 2022 in Columbus. In par with this, academic enrichment will always remain a focus of mine. I am minoring in professional writing which will help strengthen my writing abilities for the professional world, a skill that is also absolutely necessary to be a lawyer. Furthermore, leadership development is another area I’m always willing to improve upon. I am a chair for MAC (the Media Archives Committee) in Mount and one event I’ve been heavily engaged in preparing for this year is the reception we put on during OSU’s Parent and Family Weekend. In addition to MAC, I try my best to be a good role model for my minis (an aspect of Mount Scholars). Service engagement is something I’ve always been passionate about as well. This year I am spending every Friday at the Clintonville-Beechwood Community Resource Center where I help out in whatever ways are needed that day. It’s a great experience and highly rewarding.
