Oh hey!

Hello! My name is Mandy Robbins. I am currently practicing as a (Family) Nurse Practitioner with Mid Ohio Emergency Services. I am also in school, part-time, working toward my doctorate degree at Ohio State, with a focus on clinical practice. I am a wife and a mother of one lovely little girl, named Abby. My husband AJ and Abby are my life and my reason for doing most of the things that I do. My husband is a fireman and a business man. We live on a small working farm with a small herd of Texas Longhorns, chickens, two lab retrievers and a clowder of cats.

I am a dedicated college student – I have been taking college classes consistently since 1996! Nursing is a second, or really a third career for me. I have learned a lot in my “past lives”, but I’ve learned the most from my career in nursing! As a dedicated student, I also like to pass on what I have learned to other students.  I’m hoping to also have a career in academics to help educate future nursing students. I believe that education should be fun and interesting. By incorporating these characteristics into my teaching style and fostering a safe learning environment, I’m hopeful that students will not only be able to learn, retain and apply information, but also enjoy the process as it is necessary throughout the rest of their careers.
