Correcting for Irregularities in Color Order Systems

 

Abstract

 

Stimuli used in research on color perception and cognition are often sampled from approximately uniform color order systems such as Munsell. A concern is that metrical irregularities in these systems may distort interpretation of studies involving the perception of color differences. I describe methods for correcting for these distortions.
