This study utilized a single-subject, multiple probe design to measure the impact of Mathspace, a tablet-based math app, on high school students’ algebra skills. This session will describe the preliminary results of this study and how the study’s design produces acceptable validity, replication, and control.

About Lauren Wargelin

Lauren Wargelin Reynolds is a doctoral candidate in School Psychology and an intern in Columbus City Schools for the 2017-2018 academic year. Lauren’s research interests revolve around developing and implementing evidence-based math interventions in schools. Her dissertation research examines the effectiveness of an iPad app for teaching algebra to high school students with disabilities or who are at risk for academic failure.
