Investigating Multiple Imputation in Cluster Randomized Trials

Abstract

Predictive mean matching is a semiparametric multiple imputation procedure where missing outcomes are imputed with observed outcomes from ‘similar’ cases. To extend the method to multilevel data, we propose weighted PMM procedures that incorporate two imputation models: one that ignores clustering and one that includes fixed effects for clusters.
