My first semester at OSU

This first semester at OSU has been amazing. I had so many fears coming into college: how can I fit in? how will I handle being away from my family? am I smart enough to be here? And apparently these fears have been unfounded. I’ve fit in fine here on campus. I haven’t been to homesick. I’ve passed all of my classes. This has been a great first semester. The highlight of it was definitely the Michigan game. It was incredible. This was definitely something I’ll talk about for years to come.

“But out” Reflection

I want to become a better writer, but I don’t have much time to write.

I want to do more homework, but I watch too much Netflix.

I want to see the world, but I’m stuck in school.

I want to sleep more at night, but I stay up too late.

I want to drink more water, but I drink too much pop.

I want to become a better writer, and I don’t have much time to write. So I need to manage my time better.

I want to do more homework, and I watch too much Netflix. So I need to focus better

I want to see the world, and I’m stuck in school. So I need to look into study abroad opportunities

I want to sleep more at night, but I stay up too late. So I need to go to sleep earlier at night.

I want to drink more water, but I drink too much pop. So I should stop buying pop in bulk.

My first Week at OSU

The thing that excited me most about coming to Ohio State is the amount of people. There are so many people here at OSU, everyone’s different and comes from a different background, an yet we are all connected by the fact that we are Buckeyes. It’s really amazing to think about. The thing that scares me the most about being a student here is the idea that I might get lost in the crowd. There are so many people here at OSU that sometimes I wonder: “How will I stand out?”, “How will I make my mark?”.

The first week has been pretty good. I’ve met a lot of cool people in and outside of my classes. Plus I’ve seen a couple familiar faces from my old school. Classes have been a little different, but I know I’ll adjust. My expectations for my first year and for the Humanities program? Well I expect to ace my classes this year and I hope to make a lot of new friends both in and outside of the Humanities program. It’s a great opportunity and I don’t plan on wasting it.
