Intro To Who I Am.

Hi, my name is Jose A. Rios Jr. and currently a first-year student at The Ohio State University. I currently am 17 years old. My birthday is September 27th, 2001. I am very young to be in college but, I am hopeful that I have what it takes to succeed. I am the oldest out of my 3 other siblings. I have one sister and two brothers. My sister is 16 years old and my two brothers are 14 and 10. I am in 2 programs called the Young Scholars Program (YSP) and the Latinx Early Arrival Program (LEAP). I work with both programs to ensure my academic success and continue to do so until I graduate. I am majoring in Aviation and want to fly but, not civilian wise but, instead in the military. The reason I chose to have a dream of flying is because when I was little, I used to go to the Air Show a lot in Downtown Cleveland, OHIO. This amazed me and sparked my interest into wanting to fly. I currently am in the Air Force Reserve Officer Training Corps (AFROTC). I am in this program because it can guarantee me a path to become an Airman, a U.S Air Force pilot after I graduate since I want to fly. I go through a rigorous training course throughout the Air Force ROTC and attend classes on the values and heritages in the AFROTC. I attend classes really early in the mornings as I am a morning person. My academic strengths are English and History since I love to read about history and the English context behind it. I am a pretty quiet and chill guy. I am really fun when I want to be but, other than that, Ohio State is looking pretty great for me as an incoming freshmen.
