Year in Review

G.O.A.L.S.

My G.O.A.L.S.:

  • Global Awareness: I plan to study abroad as well as stay involved in O.D.I.  I also want to stay involved in Hillel and Chabad.
  • Original Inquiry: A topic I would like to work my way up to researching and implementing is urban agriculture, especially in food deserts and places with limited healthy options.
  • Academic Enrichment: I am excited to further my public speaking skills as well as get invested in organizations that can lead to future networking opportunities.
  • Leadership Development: I plan to work and develop my use of time through leadership opportunities and deadlines.
  • Service Engagement: I want to work to end food deserts and teach about healthy living through agriculture in cities.

Career

[“Career” is where you can collect information about your experiences and skills that will apply to your future career.  Like your resume, this is information that will evolve over time and should be continually updated.  For more guidance on using your ePortfolio, including questions and prompts that will help you get started, please visit the Honors & Scholars ePortfolio course in Carmen. Artifacts

[Artifacts are the items you consider to be representative of your academic interests and achievements. For each entry, include both an artifact and a detailed annotation.  An annotation includes both a description of the artifact and a reflection on why it is important to you, what you learned, and what it means for your next steps.  For more guidance on using your ePortfolio, including questions and prompts that will help you get started, please visit the Honors & Scholars ePortfolio course in Carmen. About Me

Hi! My name is Beyla Richman, and my intended major is Environmental Policy and Decision Making in the Ohio State College of Food, Agriculture, and Environmental Sciences. My hometown is Arlington, Virginia, and I love exploring D.C. as well as utilizing the awesome opportunities that come with living so close to the capital. Some topics I am interested in are urban agriculture as well as modern politics. I love to grow plants; whether that be in a garden or any form of tropical houseplant, I’m here for all of it. On top of that, I enjoy staying physically active, reading, and exploring/challenging my relationship with Judaism and religion.
