ABOUT THE DESIGNER: I was born and raised just half an hour away from campus in Dublin, Ohio. I enjoy volunteering at my local animal shelter, creating and organizing planners and calendars, and spending time outdoors – especially in my hammock or near waterfalls. My passions are many and vigorous, including animal welfare, social justice, and (of course) design. During high school, I became involved in yearbook and found my love of both design and leadership through a position as the layout editor. I am an obsessive perfectionist, like many designers, hoping to develop and hone my talents and expand my skill set. Coming from a very limited background in art and design, I felt intimidated entering a program filled with experienced creators. I have surprised myself by how much I have grown and improved over the last two semesters; the foundations program has both humbled me and made me more confident in my abilities.
DESIGN is a puzzle. There’s necessary content that needs to be included, and design involves creating that content as well as putting it together into a visually appealing and easily useable product.
