About Me

Back home on the farm with my boy Skeeter :)

Back home on the farm with my boy Skeeter 🙂

Allow me to introduce myself: My name is Megan Retallick, I am 18 years old, and I am from the rural outskirts of a town about 40 miles east of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania called Blairsville. I decided on Ohio State, with the intention of studying animal sciences on the pre-veterinary path. When asked to describe myself, I always draw a blank, but I would have to say that my passions lie in good old-fashioned country lifestyle. I love horseback riding, quad riding, mudding, hunting and fishing. Throughout high school I was involved in my school’s FFA chapter, the World Language Honor Society, soccer and track and field. These values that I have grown up with are ones in which I hope to share with the variety of students coming from different backgrounds I will encounter on my journey here at Ohio State. Being a part of the Ohio State Honors and Scholars program will open the opportunity to indulge in not only a fast-paced learning environment, but also explore the diversity. My eventual plan is to take my animal sciences degree, go through veterinary school, and graduate as a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine with specialties in treatment of farm and production animals.
