Let’s get real, studying will never be as exciting as an intense night of gaming or updating your social media with the perfect photo or video.

That being said, being prepared for a major quiz or exam is important for getting the grades you want.

Here are some apps and online tools that can help you manage your time between studying effectively and still having some time for breaks (i.e. Fortnite, Instagram, Twitter).

    • Use color coding and prioritization to make sure you have all you need to study effectively or work through other life projects.
  • Coach.me (https://www.coach.me/)
    • )Need group support to complete a task or project? This app connects you with others who want to support you in working toward your goals. As you make progress, look for some ‘props’ from your peers urging you on.
  • Evernote (https://evernote.com/)
    • Connect notes, photos, PDFs, documents and more across all your devices using this helpful app to work collaboratively and share ideas in an efficient (i.e. time-saving) way.
  • Finish (http://getfinish.com/)
    • Need a little reward for getting through all that hard studying, or other college projects? This app rewards you with a congratulatory tone ever time you wrap up an important task. Hey, we all need a little recognition every once in a while.
  • Google Keep (https://www.google.com/keep/)
    • Pin your great ideas to an online board using this app, and then revisit and draw connections between photos, voice memos, lists and

    • Save trees! Feed your mind. Use these online flashcards to help with memorization and not waste paper with old-school notecards. You can create your own or use already created ones on the site.

    • Bring together all your calendars, e-mails, Twitter, and other time management tools in one place using this app.
  • SimpleMind+ (https://simplemind.eu/)
    • It might sound like science fiction, but mind maps are actually a very real down to earth way to connect thoughts and ideas visually.
  • TRELLO (https://trello.com/)
    • Using boards, lists and cards you can break projects into smaller parts for easier prioritization (and less stress).
  • Wolfram Alpha (https://www.wolframalpha.com/) 
    • Wolfram Alpha is an online encyclopedia, calculator, dictionary, statistical analysis tool, and so much more, and I think that while many students are aware of it, not many know all of the amazing things it can do.
