Share Some Buckeye Pride

What’s up?

The end of the semester is coming soon, and now is a great time to celebrate your residence hall community with dynamic experiences that create some extraordinary Buckeye memories.

Make the Connection

“Celebrating all of who we are”– Watch the Dirty Computer e-motion picture by musician, actor, and activist Janelle Monáe, and think about the issues the videos raise about the importance of recognizing and celebrating all the identities that make us unique. Find the video here: https://vimeo.com/268498567.

  • Note: that the e-motion picture does contain mature themes that will require time for reflection.
  • If you are able, be sure to reflect with others about the videos and how they work to maintain a positive self-image

COOL-UMBUS TIDBIT– Ohio State graduate and Columbus resident Geraldine “Jerrie” Mock was the first woman to fly solo around the world. Her chosen ride was a single-engine Cessna named the “Spirit of Columbus,” which took off on March 19, 1964 from the Port Columbus International Airport. Twenty-nine days later, 5000 admirers gathered to watch Mock’s triumphant return. (Taken from: http://mentalfloss.com/article/503187/25-things-you-should-know-about-columbus-ohio
