Help Foster Inclusion

What’s up?

Once the right expectations are set for creating an inclusive community, it is important to follow up to make sure things continue to run as smoothly as possible.

Make the Connection

Keeping the Momentum Going

The following reflective activities and programming ideas are designed to present ways to help ensure inclusion remains a central part of the residential experience here at Ohio State.

“How to create an Inclusive Community”–Use this handout to review some important steps to make sure that inclusion is part of a residential community. Click here for the document: DiverseCommunity

MAKING A MISTAKE– The following handout discusses how to recover from making a mistake when it comes to promoting inclusion. After reading the article reflect on the following questions: What are your thoughts about these recommendations? What would you add or change?

Be sure to also talk with your supervisors and peers about what they’ve done to recover from making diversity or inclusion mistakes in the past. Here is the reading: How To Bounce Back From A Big Mistake – Adobe 99U

Why not gather your floor together to check out a film to focuses on a current diversity and inclusion topic and then discuss after the show.
