Year in Review
Freshman year of college was not in any sense dull or predictable. There was a lot of ups and downs, and memories and friendships made that I will cherish forever. Most importantly though my first year of college has without question began to shape who I am as an adult. I’ve had independence before, to a degree. But this was truly the first time in my life where I was completely on my own, to make my own decisions. Going through this, finding what works for me, how I am most productive, and most importantly learning from my mistakes, has helped me begin to learn how to function in the real world as an adult. This year of trial and error, of self thinking has helped me realize my strengths of independent research and focus, and my downfalls such as the distraction of socialization. All in all my first year here at OSU has prepared me to function more productively throughout my final three.

Artifacts
The following is an image of my model from my third and final freshman year studio project. I really enjoyed this project, and also feel like it reflects my academic interests well. I was able to express my creativity, but at the same time had to think analytically and geometrically in order to maintain balance in the tower. These are the reasons why I chose to study architecture in the first place, and why this was my best project.
About Me
My name is Aidan Reinke and I am from Westminster Maryland, a small town just north of Baltimore. I am a very outgoing and social person, and work best with others. I enjoy learning in an open discussion environment where not only the instruction of the professor is heard, but the input of others also allows advancement of my knowledge.
