I have lived in Centerville, Ohio since I was born 19 years ago. Centerville City Schools’ reputation includes high achievement in academics and sports. I participated in basketball from second grade until sophomore year of high school. I also enjoyed softball and soccer. During my time playing sports, I learned how to work with others and act as a teammate, as well as how to take responsibility for my own actions. I challenged myself in school by taking honors and advanced placement courses. I learned the importance of time management and asking for assistance when I needed better understanding. My favorite subjects include math, art, and French. A passion of mine is for community service. Through my church, I have been involved with a variety of mission projects. The most meaningful experience I gained in high school occurred during my senior year when I became a Sunday School preschool teacher. This opportunity helped me stay connected to the church and learn valuable skills about the responsibilities of a teacher. One of my short term goals includes deciding between Early Childhood Education and Middle Childhood Education. My long term goal includes making a difference in the lives of others by educating students and giving them bright futures.
