Takeaways

3 Major Takeaways

  1. Online learning can feel overwhelming as much of the pressure to keep track of assignments, quizzes, and exams falls on you. Utilize technologies that will help you stay on track and will provide reminders for upcoming tasks. For example, using Study manager has allowed me to stay on task for preparing for my exams, and it was a satisfying feeling when the app told me I had completed my study event for the day.
  2. The benefits of setting long-range goals are endless. First, these goals allow you be proactive towards your futures. Additionally, it helps to reduce feeling of anxiety about your future. My long-range goal is to get a full time offer with Deloitte after my internship this summer. This goal allows me to be driven in my present, so I can achieve a brighter future
  3. Call yourself out on your procrastination tendencies. I’m sure we all found ourselves at some point saying, “I don’t feel like doing it,” or, “I will get a fresh start in the morning.” Changing behavior does require a lot of psychic energy, but it is worth it in the long run. Take the initiative to change your habits. From this class, I have become more aware of when I procrastinate, and I now make a conscious effort to simply motivate myself to complete tasks when they need to be done.
