Year in Review

This semester has been one full of surprises. I ended up switching majors, which I am incredibly excited about. I was a social work major at the beginning of this year, but my heart has always been with music education. After much convincing with my parents, I auditioned for and made it into the music education major. For some people, this might have led to a lack of much care about their current classes this semester. However, a lot of the classes I was taking counted as gen Ed’s for the music education major, and I still wanted to keep my GPA high, so I persisted and stayed focused and dedicated in all of my classes. Though I had a decent amount of frustrating teachers, I stayed on top of my study habits and found several groups of friends to de stress with. Even if I don’t stay friends with some of those who were in my classes and no longer will be next semester, I know that I still have the ability to make new friends easily in college. I’ve loved this semester so much and I am very much looking forward to my upcoming semesters at Ohio State in the major that I was born to be in.
