Strengths & Weaknesses

I believe self evaluation is a key to skill to grow into a professional career. Within my evaluations I have taken note of my weaknesses and strengths.

A weakness that I have is extending my efforts into many things at once. By doing this, I spread myself thin and become overwhelmed. Fortunately I normally manage finishing all my tasks, however, I push myself to my limits to do so. To develop this weakness into a strength, I plan to not take too many things on at once. I need to learn how to say no so I don’t stress myself out so much. Hopefully, by staying more organized I can mange this. Another weakness of mine is always wanting to take the leadership role in a group. I want to be able to be more of a team player rather than running the show all the time. Having good team skills is something I want to learn so I can be as effective and productive as possible.

 

A strength of mine that I plan to use throughout my career is my communication skills. I like to stay connected and be on the same page with my employer. I like to discuss expectations and be evaluated on what I am doing well and what I need to work on. I believe communication is a major aspect to help anyone continue to grow. Also, it helps create connections and be memorable to potential companies and clients. Another strength is my ability to adapt quickly. I have been thrown into new positions before, and have come out successful. I plan to continue using this skill for when I start a new job or am given a new task.
