Hello! My name is Antara Rath and I am currently a freshman at The Ohio State University. I am pursuing a major in Chemical Engineering on the pre-med track with the intent of going to medical school. I am a member of the Eminence Fellows Program which is a part of the Honors and Scholars Program at Ohio State. Eminence is a great opportunity to give back to Ohio State and to the Columbus community by creating a sustainable service organization. In addition to the service aspect of the Eminence program, I hope to develop research skills and my academic interests along the way with the wonderful cohort of faculty members.
I have just joined the Pre-med club which serves to help undergraduate students prepare for the rigor of applications for medical school. I have also become a part of the Society of Women Engineers and the American Institute of Chemical Engineers. Other than the academic clubs, I am also playing in the First Year Orchestra as a first violinist. I hope to get more involved in these clubs throughout my freshman year and the rest of my years at Ohio State.
In my E-portfolio, I hope to provide an array of my experiences and how it has impacted my development at Ohio State. I intend to connect with others in a professional manner push me to pursue more than I ever imagined.
