Monday, August 9: 1st Symposium (1:00 – 3:30pm)

Participants will present their lesson plans/resources in a conference-style format and showcase what they learned from the summer workshop. You will be asked to use these new materials in the classroom in the Autumn.

Tuesday, October 12: Webinar on “Ideas of Race and Racism: A Global Comparison” (4pm)

Teacher participants are invited to attend the public webinar on “Ideas of Race and Racism: A Global Comparison” featuring the workshop’s scholarly experts. This webinar is co-sponsored by the OSU College of Arts and Sciences and Department of History.

Tuesday, December 21: 2nd Symposium (1:00 – 3:30pm)

We will meet again in December to debrief what worked and what they would change and improve. The Goldberg Center will publish the lesson plans/teacher resources in the online magazine Origins: Current Events in Historical Perspective.
