On Saturday, November 16th, 2019, The Ohio State University hosted the 5th Annual Quechua Alliance Meeting. This yearly event aims to promote an exchange of ideas between Quechua speakers, community leaders, college students, and professors who share an interest and passion for Quechua language and Andean culture. This is a space for young people to become dynamic leaders in the academic context where there is an increasing interest in Indigenous languages and cultures of the Americas. We all spent a very enriching time and are looking forward to our next meeting!
With the generous help of two Ohio State graduate students, Erik Scaltriti and Vitor Vilaverde, the Center for Latin American Studies and Quechua Learning Community have created a video recapping the event. It is now published to the CLAS YouTube channel for public viewing. Please enjoy!
