PROFESSIONAL SUMMARY: As an accomplished educational research scientist and scholar, I am dedicated to exploring how credentials of value, career readiness, and workforce education influence economic mobility and self-efficacy. My interdisciplinary scholarship is deeply rooted in education sciences encompassing career and technical/vocational education, credentialing industry certifications and micro-credentials, and leadership. I bring extensive expertise in higher education, performance metrics, edtech, training and development, labor relations, project design, and management. With a keen professional interest in course and educational program design, multimedia activities, and entrepreneurship, I blend practical experience with academic rigor to develop innovative and transformative solutions that enhance educational outcomes and workforce readiness. My work is driven by a commitment to fostering economic opportunity and empowering individuals through education. My Education Sciences practice is anchored in five core tenets: learning systems, human development, schools as organizations, policymaking in education, and social structures and stratification.
CAREER HIGHLIGHTS: I have been recognized as a national postsecondary career and technical education research fellow by the ECMC Foundation. My work includes contributions to the U.S. National Science Foundation (NSF) STEM Education Grant projects# 2000472 and #2151029, along with serving as an NSF grant reviewer. I received a grant from the ECMC Foundation to establish a National Applied Research Center on Industry Certifications and Career Readiness for Black Males. Additionally, I serve as a book series editor in organization, workforce, and leadership studies at Information Age Publishing, and was elected Secretary for the AERA CTE SIG for the 2023-2025 term. My dedication extends to serving on the board of directors at Youth Social Educational Vocational Training Academy in Springfield, MA. As a co-founder of New Mind Media, LLC, I contribute to providing online training in career skills and job programs through our education and business consulting services.
As an active member of the Association for Career and Technical Education Research (ACTER) and the American Educational Research Association (AERA – CTE SIG / Postsecondary division J), Felix is committed to advancing career development and promoting equitable opportunities for all. With his exceptional skills and extensive experience, Felix is a valuable asset to any organization seeking to improve outcomes in career development and workforce education. My curiosity drives me to be a lifelong learner. In April 2022, I completed a Professional certificate program in Media & Technology for Education at Harvard Graduate School of Education. In 2019, I earned a professional teacher certification in teaching English as a foreign/second language. My co-authored books: From Lecture Hall to Laptop focus on virtual teaching and learning, and Journey to Financial Literacy and Freedom helps consumers with financial planning strategies.

New York State Department of Health, Nassau University Medical Center. Analyzed, designed, and tracked data analytics and clinical data for 11 Medicaid State projects. Implemented clinical data education practices and standards for providers in the Medicaid network.
