We are inspired by the pathbreaking developments by Ken Wilson on the idea of universality and scale invariance that totally changed the face of physics. His work on the renormalization group laid the foundations for understanding phenomena as diverse as turbulence, quantum field theory and phase transitions in materials.

John Wilkins played an instrumental role in understanding superconductivity, magnetism and transport properties of interacting systems.

The mission of the center is to ignite the imagination in young people today. Through dialog and discussion in an encouraging environment, we hope that following in the footsteps of these giants, will generate big ideas and open new doors.
