Dashboard of Resources

Our Dashboard of Resources put you in connection with amazing qualitative researchers and resources across the US and globe.

Resources Guides, created by QualLab Graduate Research Associates and Director & Professor Dr. Penny A. Pasque, are meant to be “beginner-level” or “101” sources to support researchers in learning the basics of qualitative research. Each Guide below includes introductory descriptions and resources, and some come with recordings of presentations with the OSU community.

EHE Qualitative Courses: The three departments in the College of Education and Human Ecology (EHE) offer an array of qualitative and mixed-methods courses taught by world-renowned and knowledgeable faculty to support students in strengthening their research skills:

Computer-Assisted Qualitative Data Analysis Software (CAQDAS): This page has been developed by Dr. Rhodesia McMillian and Dr. Penny A. Pasque for the AERA Professional Development Course “Qualitative Research from Literature Review to Large Dataset Analysis,” and has then been revised by QualLab GRA Mianmian Fei. The list is not exhaustive and do not endorse any particular software–use what works best for you!

QualLab @ The Ohio State University YouTube Channel includes recordings from:

Open Resources that can support a deeper understanding of qualitative and other research methods:

Institutional Review Board at Ohio State: Every university has its own Institutional Review Board (IRB) that is federally relegated. This page of information is for researchers at The Ohio State University. Find and follow your own university IRB guidelines and/or the university associated with your research site.
