Who can benefit from our developments?
Our chance to improve something as simple as carrying around course materials could positively affect hundreds of millions of people. Our main focus is on college students, due to their typical long walks to class and enrollment in multiple classes who tend to assign many, heavy texts. Although college students are the main focus, anyone who carries a bag and feels it’s too heavy could benefit from our product.
Our Ideas
Through a brainstorming process where each group member developed their own ideas, one idea prevailed, and went through two revisions before being ready to be released to the public: a self-driving cart, with lockers designed to carry course materials from dorm to class, along predetermined routes. Our initial, and final designs, are shown below:
