Hi, I’m Luke! I’m an undergraduate student at OSU, and I’m an EEOB/Entomology major. I’m from Johnstown, Ohio, and I’ve always wanted to know more about the plants in my area. When I’m not in class, I’m either with friends, playing soccer, performing research, or working (not necessarily in that order). My main interest is ants, so I split my time between the Adams Mega Ant Lab and my own business, Buckeye Myrmecology. In my opinion, ants are a hugely important, often overlooked part of ecosystems, and I want to help more people appreciate nature, the wonders of evolution, and become more connected with the tiny ecosystems all around us, through ants! I took this class because I want to learn to identify more local plant species, and so that I can learn more about how plants interact with their ecosystems and other organisms: insects, fungi, other plants, and more. It’s botanizing time 😎
