Please follow the link below to view our 4th round prototype presentation. For the 3rd round we narrowed down our prototype to one problem area, safety barriers. For the 4th round we improved several problem areas that we found from the 3rd round. The link shows the new prototype and the evolution of our prototypes.
8. 4th Round Prototype-1ulwd00
Some of the features added to the 4th round:
- Inner hub made to an oval shape to reduce bending of pylons
- LEDs added to the base of track.
- Removable retraction handle
- Made the real 12 ft long
- Added a casing for the reel
- Case has wheels for easy movability
- LED battery holder (with panel for easy access)
- Multiple handles
- Rear hook to link multiple packs together
- New front handle to stop track from retracting too far in
- Track guide for the inner housing to keep track on reel
