This is a photo from a fundraiser for the Lymphoma and Leukemia Society that I was involved with in high school. Our friends mom and step-mom have had leukemia and when he asked for our help to help raise money for a society that helps those with leukemia and lymphoma and does research we all jumped on. In total we raised $40,000 in 2 months. This experience impacted me and it is why I joined the Biological Sciences Scholars program, at the time I wanted to go into healthcare services, and while thats changed I am still in the bio scholars.

Artifacts

[Artifacts are the items you consider to be representative of your academic interests and achievements. For each entry, include both an artifact and a detailed annotation.  An annotation includes both a description of the artifact and a reflection on why it is important to you, what you learned, and what it means for your next steps.  For more guidance on using your ePortfolio, including questions and prompts that will help you get started, please visit the Honors & Scholars ePortfolio course in Carmen.
