Our chickens live in a very secure coop with an attached and secure outdoor run. They have no contact with wild birds or other animals, however, we typically let them out into the yard to free range (with supervision) for about an hour or more a day. How long will they
have to remain locked up before we can allow them out again? Obviously we don’t want them to get sick or die. Thank you!
Amy, right now it is hard to say exactly when the danger of HPAI will pass, but Ohio migration peaks in May so I think we will have to be cautious until summer at least.
