One of my favorite experiences so far at The Ohio State University is when I took part in a Human Trafficking event with AWOW and She has a name. This event happened on Sunday, November 12th at the Ohio State Turf Fields. This event took place in order to raise awareness for Human Trafficking and overall human rights issues in general. During this event some friends and I were able to take part in a bubble soccer competition and understand human trafficking and how it affects us all. I selected this artifact because not only did I learn about an important issue where I live but I was also able to have a good, fun experience with some of my friends. I learned a lot from this artifact and experience. One thing I learned is how pressing the issue of human trafficking is globally and even more in Ohio. This event is significant for me as it is an issue that is not only horrific and needs to be solved but it is also very prevalent where I live. This experience has not only taught me how to work well with others in the future but it has also showed me how to get involved and solve the issue of human trafficking. Overall this event has had a very positive affect on my life and has improved skills such as working well with others that I will be able to use in the future.
