Prof. Lawrence W. Inks, PhD is a Clinical Associate Professor of Management and Human Resources in the Fisher College of Business at The Ohio State University.

There are currently a lot of postdocs transitioning to careers outside of academia or traditional scientific industry positions. Orin Hemminger, Ph.D. (Nikon) and Annette Ratcliff, Ph.D. (OSU Technology Commercialization Office) will be discussing careers outside academia.

The OSU PDA International Affairs Committee Invites You to a Join Us for a seminar and panel discussion on “Postdoc Productivity and Employment Trends”

Dr. Joshua Hawley (College of Education), Dr. Bruce Weinberg (Dept. of Economics), and Hur Hyungjo (Ph.D. Candidate) have been examining the effects of employment trends and funding opportunities on postdoc productivity. They will be focusing their seminar on postdoc productivity, training and employment outcomes. The seminar will be followed by panel discussion on these relevant topics. Leading the discussion will be Dr. Joshua Hawley and Dr. Bruce Weinberg.

All postdocs and other interested campus members are welcome to attend, bring a brown bag lunch, and stay for panel discussion. Light refreshments will be provided.

Concerned about interviewing for a new career in industry? Ana Berrios, Ph.D. is the Associate Director for Career Counseling and Support Services at Ohio State. She will present a seminar focused on interviewing for industry positions.
