FAQ – Frequently Asked Questions:
Q: What does the status “Inactive” and “Active” mean?
A: Inactive is the status that is in place if the member has not been enrolled for the 2019-2020 4-H year. Active is the status that is assigned once the member/Volunteer has been enrolled and activated by the Extension office for the 2019-2020 4-H year.
Q: I forgot my password, how can I get it?
A: On the login page, click on “I forgot my password” and then click “Send My Password”.
Q: I forgot the e-mail address that I used, how can I get it?
A: It was emailed to you directly from 4-H Online, check your junk mailbox. If not, you will need to call the Portage County Extension office and ask us to look at your profile for the correct email address.
Q: I was given/e-mailed a password but when I typed it in, it did not work?
A: Because of the sensitivity of the passwords, it is recommended that you “cut and paste” the password into the password field. Once you are logged into the system, you can reset it to something that you will remember as long as it has a minimum of 8 characters and includes letters, plus numbers and/or symbols.
Q: I completed my profile over a week ago and it is still pending, what do I do?
A: Adult volunteers should be active within 2 weeks. If volunteers are pending a background check, sometimes it will take up to 6 weeks to change to active. Youth status will remain pending until closer to the April 1st deadline to allow families to change/add projects.
Q: I clicked the Submit Enrollment button and remembered something that needs to be changed. How do I do that?
A: As long as you are still pending, you can make changes. Youth pending status will stay pending until closer to the enrollment date. After the Extension Office activates the profile, the status will change to Active. Once your status is active, you cannot change anything. April 15th is the deadline for all changes, so you must contact the Extension Office for any changes. 330-296-6432
