This was my second semester of the college experience. I took Chemistry, Calculus 2, Macro Economics and Freshmen Engineering part B. Economics served as a GE this semester where I got a A-. Calculus 2 was my first new math class of college. There was a lot of new information in the class and went quite fast. I’m happy to have gotten a B as my final grade. Chemistry was mainly a review as I took AP Chemistry in high school, however the labs for this class were very tough and in the end I was only able to score a B. The freshmen engineering class was basically one large project which made the class very entertaining. I took over the role of lead designer and coder for my lab group. I gained a lot of experience on the CAD program SolidWorks. The coding for this project was very basic, even more so than that for the train lab from the first semester. Our design was able to complete a full run about the track and received the highest score. We had the most efficient design of those that completed the run, but were not the most efficient design in the class. My final grade in the class came back as a B+. This semester was much tougher than the first semester and felt more like what I expected college to be like.
