Autumn 2016

My classes this semester included the first freshmen engineering class, physics mechanics, calculus 1 and the history of sports in the twentieth century. The history class counted as a GE while all the other classes were my freshmen engineering classes. Calculus 1 did not count towards my EPHR though. Calculus 1 was my highest grade with an A- as I was practically retaking the class. I had taken AP Calculus in my high school. I also took physics in high school, but it ot being an AP class it was much less intense so it felt like I was taking physics for the first time. my physics grade came back a B. I also got a B in the history of sports class. The freshmen engineering class was the most entertaining class of the semester which helped me to get an A in the class.

The freshmen engineering class was a basic intro into the field of engineering. Basic coding and plenty of excel was the main focus of the class. The end of the semester saw the Train Lab project. This project was focused on coding a toy train to go around a track while also activating a crossing gate and flashing lights. The code i wrote consisted of a lot of if and for loops to time everything properly.

This semester was a very good start to my college years.
