Welcome to the Pintor Lab!

Broadly, my research program aims to understand how species interactions structure ecological communities in freshwater and marine ecosystems. As an aquatic ecologist, my research integrates and applies the fields of population, community and behavioral ecology to understand and predict the consequences of biological invasions for aquatic ecosystems. My lab employs a mix of empirical and quantitative approaches to identify generalizable patterns and underlying mechanisms of successful invasions that may inform conservation and management. Current and future work will extend our use of trait-based frameworks and paradigms from behavioral ecology to understand how other drivers of global change alter species interactions in aquatic ecosystems.
