Market livestock and equine project book check interviews and skillathons are next week!
If you don’t have your livestock and horse project records up-to-date, it’s time to be getting them done.
Find the guidelines for livestock records as well as the market livestock feed record/book supplement at this link: pike.osu.edu/program-areas/4-h-youth-development/livestockprojects
Find the horse project record book guidelines at this link: pike.osu.edu/sites/pike/files/imce/Program_Pages/4H/EQUINE%20BOOK%20CHECK%20rubric.pdf
The best way to prep for the skillathon is to study your species resource book. You can also do a skillathon practice test here: wayne.osu.edu/skillathon-study-materials
Hopefully, you have already signed up for your interview time. If not, get signed up as soon as possible. Market livestock interviews are Monday, July 17, Tuesday, July 18, and Wednesday, July 19 from 3-7 p.m. in the art hall at the Pike County Fairgrounds. Please only sign up for ONE time spot, even if you have more than one project. Equine project members can sign up for an interview time on Wednesday, July 19 from 7-9 p.m. or Thursday, July 20 from 7-9 p.m. If an equine project member also has market livestock projects, they are welcome to do their equine book check at the same time as their other projects.
