To be eligible to exhibit livestock and sell market animals at the 2023 Pike County Fair, all youth exhibitors must complete a livestock book check. Interviews and book checks for Beef, Sheep, Swine, Goats, Rabbits, and Poultry will be held Monday, July 17, Tuesday, July 18, and Wednesday, July 19 from 3-7 p.m. each day at the Art Hall at the Pike County Fairgrounds. To help alleviate wait times, each member must sign up for an appointment time. Youth must bring their completed project book(s) for review. If you have more than one livestock project, please only sign up for ONE appointment, but bring ALL your livestock project books with you. The livestock skillathon will be held at the same time and all youth are strongly encouraged to participate. Parents will not be permitted in the Skillathon or interview areas and must remain in the waiting area. Want to know what to study for the Skillathons? The best resource is your project resource handbook.
