About Me

About Me

My name is Jasmine F. Pierce, I am a first year student from Youngstown, Ohio majoring in Animal Sciences. I plan on entering into the medical field after finishing my time here at Ohio State University and getting my MD in Veterinary Medicine. My main passions are involved heavily in the welfare of animals and the sustainability of the environment. The reason that I am passionate about the sustainability of the environment is because I see the planet as our home, and in order to maintain a long lasting and healthy home, I feel it is our responsibility to take care of it. In order to ensure that we to these things, I feel that we must get really involved with, and observe the environment in close proximity, which is why I love participating in such activities and workshop whenever I can. Furthermore, my passion I have for the environment comes from my passion about animals (in which we share our home with), and knowing that certain species are endangered in their own natural habitats, I would like to put my effort towards creating a better environment for them as well. So as for my passion about animals, it has been a dream of mine since I was a little girl to work with animals, as I was around them for most of my life. Though I don’t just want to work with animals, I wanted to make an impacting difference with the work I was doing. So it is actually a goal of mine to run my very own veterinary business, in which I envision this business to not only impact the welfare of animals here in the United States but across the world.
