Columbus To-Do List Pt. 1

I have chosen to do the Thematics To-Do List for this semester, however, I won’t be choosing from a single category under this list. What I would like to do it choose one locations from five different categories. Preferably these will be the top five categories that seem to be most interesting to me.

What I am looking forward to about my list are the many different locations in which I can eat food and the art and music locations. Why I am looking forward to the food locations is because the city I came from was very small so there was little variety in food options, so I’m excited to try foods that I haven’t had before. Also, I believe that it would be interesting to try food that I have had before, but made in a different style. I’m looking forward towards the art and music (mainly the art) locations because, once again, my home city is quite small, and we only had one art gallery whose art displays didn’t change much at all. So I’m very excited to see new works of art.

What I hope to get out of this assignment this semester is to experience what the city of Columbus has to offer as far as the food, its natural beauties, artistic expressions and recreational activities. I overall hope to be exposed to and also become a part of the Columbus lifestyle.

Zen Cha Tea Salon with Alex H. and Aamnda H.

My overall experience at Zen Cha Tea Salon wasn’t what I expected it to be, and I don’t believe I got the proper experience from visiting that location. This is probably due to the fact that I am not a frequent tea drinker, so out of the locations I have visited, this was my least favorite. Though the salon itself was very nice. The tea menu was my favorite part because it had teas that originated from countries around the world. Because I don’t drink tea, I was unaware how the many different types there were, but I was exposed to them when I visited Zen Cha. This particular location is not one I would prefer to visit again (for the tea drinking at least), but I would highly recommend it for someone who does drinks tea on the regular basis.
