Julie Stephens, MS

Senior Biostatistician, Center for Biostatistics

Julie has 25 years of experience in statistical collaboration. She has worked extensively with investigators in the Comprehensive Cancer Center and the Ohio State Wexner Medical Center as well as partners at the Ohio Department of Health.  She is engaged in all parts of the research process from study design, data management, programming, diagnostics, exploratory data analysis, inferential statistics and modeling. Her research interests are in population based cancer prevention, screening and incidence, as well as professional mentorship and development.

Julie received an MS in Biostatistics from the University of Michigan in 1995. She has been part of the Center for Biostatistics since 2000 and previously worked in a collaborative statistical group at Henry Ford Health Systems in Detroit, MI.

Sara Conroy, PhD

Research Scientist, Center for Biostatistics

Sara has worked with investigators from the Comprehensive Cancer Center, the Ohio State Medical Wexner Center, and Nationwide Children’s Hospital. She enjoys all parts of the research process and is particularly interested in working with collaborators to ensure that both the data collected and the statistical analysis used answer the specific research question. Her research is focused on epidemiologic methods, observational study design and data analysis, and data visualization to best communicate results to broad audiences.

Sara received a PhD in Public Health with specialization in Epidemiology in December 2019, an MS in Biostatistics August 2016, and an MS in Statistics in 2014, all from The Ohio State University. Sara joined the Center in January 2020.

Amy Lehman, MAS

Former Senior Biostatistician, Center for Biostatistics

Amy has 19 years of experience in statistical collaboration with 120 peer-reviewed publications.  She works with multiple research groups at Ohio State and in particular has long-term collaborations with researchers in leukemia as well as the Women’s Health Initiative (WHI).  Over the past five years, Amy has developed an interest in statistical outreach and enjoys presenting to clinicians and other non-statistical audiences.

Amy received an MS in Mathematics in 1997 from Miami University (OH) and an MAS in Statistics in 2000 from Ohio State.  She joined the Center in 2001.
